  1. My first thought was that they were representations of paint brushes, so VERY physical!!! Where as your questions seem like they would take less physical form. Ephemeral, glass like...OH< you should take a classmate to the WHITNEY Biennial!!!

  2. I think I actually forget about the physicality, somehow, because it makes me think about those big "life questions". Mostly about the purpose of existence, the idea of existentialism, finite vs infinite. Partly I think it's the use of white (rather than the black from your later pieces), but also because the strokes are very calm and each unique, but ultimately trail off into something like contemplation.

  3. I like Steph's comment about the white being "existential" and the finite vs the infinite. As your process is the point it would seem what you are doing in showing the work in a group (which you should show here as well!) let's a viewer soak up some of the experience...be well Tom

  4. OH and Brian, when looking at the top two drawings in the jpeg you sent (via google), they appear to be white images on board WRAPPED in black yarn....the implications are cool, immaterial and ultra physical..
