Thomas's Barn

Thought this might be helpful: I started without knowing what I wanted but I knew I liked the barn and it was going to be torn down. As I worked: 4. just barn 3 spaces in yellow 2. INTERIOR SPACE explodes- dark red and blue electric 1. settling into air of space- light and up on page.

  1. Very nice. I was taken by the first one immediately, but then moved forward. I love that these are shown together, creating a narrative about your feeling for this barn. Some powerful, some subdued, but always focused on the emotional, the temporary. The second is my favorite of the set. As if emotion and feeling fill and spill out of the barn.

  2. I really like these, I like how much it seems like you're playing with the being of this barn, studying different parts of it through your drawings. I'm with Bryan, the second one is my favorite too. I love how energetic the building feels, especially since it was about to be torn down.

  4. I'm with Stefanie & Bryan, the second one is amazing. I think the colors are very attractive.
But at the same time, I'm kind of attracted to the third one. I can dream and expand my imagination more with the third one. Maybe it's because the third one has perspective?
